(8 sell out shows and well over 4,000 tickets sold!) at the Theatre Royal Windsor, The Theatre Academy presents the smash-hit much loved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The Sound of Music. The uplifting true story of the Von Trapp family works its magic once again and is a treat for all the family. Featuring the world-renowned musical hits My Favourite Things, Climb Every Mountain, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss and many more, this lavish and enchanting production is not to be missed! The Theatre Academy are holding open auditions for The Sound of Music which will run from 14th Feb 2012 at The Theatre Royal Windsor and for new members to join.
The Theatre Academy, based in Windsor, provides youth theatre training and productions of the very highest standards. Our academy is made of young people, from the ages of 5 up to 26, who would like to perform in a professional environment to semi-professional standards. The Theatre Royal Windsor is our number one performance venue where we showcase our young casts’ talent and efforts. Most of our young cast come to us only having performed in school plays and with out training, expertise and knowledge they develop to perform with confidence in front of hundreds of people. The Theatre Academy has three shows scheduled for 2012 at The Theatre Royal, The Sound of Music, Annie and Beauty and the Beast. Press Response to Oliver
