YOUR CHANCE TO VOTE TO SAVE THE TOWER!As part of the Royal Borough's Big Society 'Neighbourhood Budget' activity, all those who live, work or otherwise have an interest in Windsor & Maidenhead are eligible to vote for the council to spend money on their favourite projects. The Parish of St John the Baptist with All Saints have submitted Windsor Parish Church Tower Restoration as our favourite project, and all readers of the Team Magazine are urged to logon to www.rbwm.gov.uk to vote between July 4 and 31, AND ALSO TO ENCOURAGE ALL YOUR RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES TO VOTE TOO! SUNDAY 3 JULYHYMNS OF PRAISE, 3.00pmTUESDAY 5 JULYPARISH CHURCH WALK & TALK, 7.30pmJoin the party at a special evening at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist on Tuesday, 5 July. Leslie Grout will be our guide, exploring the history of the church and grounds. The evening includes a musical interlude - a performance of an anthem written specifically for the church's choir by Sir William Harris. There will also be a short Tower Appeal update. Tickets £5 at the door include a glass of wine. Proceeds to the Tower Appeal.WEDNESDAY 6 JULYWINDSOR PARISH CHURCH PLAYERS, 1.10pmExtending the regular Wednesday lunchtime concert series at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, the 6th of July sees the first performance of a new group gathered together by John Halsey. The twenty-piece orchestra will be conducted by Paul Hoskins, Music Director of Ballet Rambert. Soloists are St George's Chapel Lay-Clerks Simon Ponsford (counter tenor) and Tim Carleston (trumpet), Keith Maries (horn) and John Halsey (organ). The programme includes J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concertos No.s 1 and 2 and the Adagio by Albinoni. Admission £10 (Concessions £5). Light lunches from 12.15pm. Proceeds to the Organ Fund.WEDNESDAY 13 JULYALEXANDER BINNS, ORGAN RECITAL 1.10pmAlex Binns is well known in Windsor as a former Organ Scholar at St George's. He has developed an organ teaching practice at the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, and also plays for occasional weddings across the Team. On Wednesday, 13 July, Alex will give a lunchtime organ recital in aid of the Organ Fund including works by J.S. Bach, Howells and Liszt. Admission £5 (Concessions £4). Light lunches from 12.15pm.
